In my last article, I talked about how elected officials don’t often hear from those of us who just want to be left alone and don't want anything from government. I theorized that is likely why, by the time politicians have run for higher office such as US Congress, they are no longer capable of hearing nor even perhaps believing that there really is a "silent majority" out there that wants limited government.
As we at GiN have been working to learn more about our state and local governments, that theory has proven to be true.
More distressing, though, are the things we've been learning as we examine our state budget and how our elected officials are handling themselves. Consider this video a fun look at a serious problem:
